2017-2023 Nissan Titan Front Grill/Tailgate Badge Inlays/Decals are the most popular way to personalize an already great truck!

  • These fill in the "indented" lettering/name on the grille front and tailgate rear badge and allow you to customize how you want it to look with many colors to choose from. (does not overlay the entire emblem/NOT 3D)
  • This order includes both the front grill badge and the rear center tailgate badge inlays of the "Nissan" lettering.
  • Made from 6 year outdoor vinyl, available in many colors!

How hard is it to install?

Not very much at all if instructions are followed well. Overall, the process takes about 10-30 minutes.

    Instructions:

    1. Wash the area with soap and water/rubbing alcohol and water (at least the areas that the decal will be applied to). (1 small drop dish soap to a small bottle of spray water will suffice or dipping decals into a cup with soapy water also works well).

    2. The decals are in separate pieces to make them more manageable for a single person to install without a helper. Peel off the vinyl (using tweezers or sliding a razor blade VERY CAREFULLY under lift off the decal paying attention not to touch it with your hands/fingers as much as possible due to oils on the skin that will affect the adhesion. While the surface is warm (either from your garage or the sun) install the vinyl by holding the outer corners of the edges between your pointer and thumbs.
For instance, I would hold the outer (without touching much of the glue side) top/side edges in my left fingers, and the opposite side in my right fingers. Hold the vinyl taut and align the edges of the decal on into or onto the indentation/over the emblem if raised. Using the wet method is best for 90% of the decals I sell unless you are 100% confident in your abilities to install decals and its what I still use after more than 10 years’ experience in decal/wrap installations.

    4. Press down with one of your thumb/fingers, and then slide your thumb/finger along the decal making sure not to push hard enough to move the decal until it is sealed to the hood/sides/rear etc. If you want; you can mist the area with water or soapy water to allow you to easily reposition the vinyl if you make mistakes. SEE TIPS BELOW.

    5. Slowly and gently massage the rest of the vinyl decal until you are 100% satisfied with its placement, then you can squeeze out the water/soap mixture. Smooth out as many bubbles as you want (a plastic card such as an old credit card may be helpful here just be sure not to scratch the decals surface). The amount of time and effort you spend doing this is up to you. If you want it to be perfect and look perfect, go ahead and spend however long you need or want to get things to your standards. If a bubble or three doesn’t bother you then move on otherwise continue to squeeze out all you can see.
    6. Once smoothed out let it sit to cure and dry for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.

    7. Repeat steps 2-6 for any other decals you have to apply. Again, misting the area with water or soapy water can make it easier to squeeze out bubbles or reposition the vinyl. Conclude by pressing the moisture out and checking that all edges are perfectly set and not raised.

    TIPS:
Big one here is misting the area with water or soapy water BEFORE placing the vinyl down. Plain water makes things easier and allows the vinyl to stick almost immediately after your press it to seal it. Adding dish soap such as Dawn to your water and then spraying the area with it; will cause the vinyl to slide around until its dry. This might actually be the way to go for many people. It’s easy to fix if you make a mistake; peel it up, or slide it around until you get it exactly where you want. Take your time to massage out bubbles and so on. As long as you keep the area soapy and wet, the vinyl should be movable. The downfall of soapy water is you have to wait for it to dry before you use your car. Even the wind while driving would be enough to peel the vinyl off and blow it away. Once dry however, it’s just as secure as any other method. You'll have to determine how long it is before you trust it. I usually give my installs about 3 hours and make sure it is dry. Your results will vary depending on your weather conditions. Also, while using soapy water, the extra at the rear of the hood might not stick until AFTER the soapy water has dried. Which means, you'd have to come back a few hours later and then press it up and under the hood to stick it in place. No big deal.

I include extras with my complex decals but most come with one set so be sure to follow these instructions to ensure a good finish. If you remove the vinyl within a month or two, it should leave no residue on your vehicle's paint.
